On 12-9-2010, a constitutional amendment was voted on. Up for vote was a version of a law to which the Constitutional Court made some corrections in record time with the ruling from7-7-2010.
These corrections – which at first glance seemed relatively minor – will therefore not go into effect
(current version of the constitution will be available shortly at www.tuerkei-recht.de).

In May, 2010, the new double tax agreement between Turkey and Germany was initialed.
The ratification process is ongoing.

Rumpf Law Firm: Collaboration with Dr. Gaupp & Colleagues

Stuttgart-based Rumpf Law Firm for Commercial Law formed an alliance with Dr. Gaupp & Colleagues,
an interregional firm of attorneys and notaries, which took effect at the beginning of June. Senior Partner
Dr. Rolf Gaupp is active in the Heilbronn, Stuttgart and Frankfurt locations with emphases on corporate law,
commercial law, labor law, public and private building law, inheritance law, family law and tort law for
tax consultants. His portfolio supplements and strengthens the emphases on German-Turkish legal
relationships and international commercial law which the Rumpf Law Firm concentrates on in German law.
At the same time, Dr. Dirk Gaupp was accepted as a new member in our law firm. He will be in charge
of German and European commercial and corporate law.
